Good moring, Elizabeth -- and family! We've enjoyed reading and looking at pictures or your blog site! You've done a great job and it was really fun for us to have a picture update on the family. We will be praying for Becky's improved health -- and yes, healing from the allergic responses she has experienced. God is able!
Hey Elizabeth, I haven't gone to their website in a long time so I am not sure how current the info is, the DVD that we have is a couple yrs old and I am assuming its the same as the video on the websites. You know, if you want a chance to volunteer somewhere, they are always looking for good Christian girls to come and volunteer their time, some come for a few months, some longer...just a thought!! Anyway, its a children's home for children whose parents are incarcerated(but really they will take any child who needs a home) and the goal is for the child to go back to his/her mom eventually when she gets out of prison. Its a really awesome minisrty!!
I'm visiting your site from The Rebelution's blog after reading your comment and questions -- and I love the pictures of you and your little siblings! They are just so adorable!
I came here to let you know that some people (including myself) have answered your questions in the comment section of the entry, "Do Hard Things Is Not New." I wasn't sure if you'd check back, but I thought your questions were really good and I'd been wanting to answer them for a while -- and thank you for beginning the discussion as seeking God on the matter has been very edifying in my life.
Hi Elizabeth! I just wanted to let you know that Hayden and I have been praying for Mei Ai (hope I spelled that right). Hayden asks about her all the time. Keep us updated. Thanks
Billie, I would love to talk to you more about adoption. I need a way to contact you though. If you have an xanga acount you can send me a private message and I can talk to you that way, (xanga.com/shine4Him247) or just let me know your best form of communication. I can't post my e-mail address here, but I can send it to you privatly if you have a way for me to do that. (through a private blog, facebook, xanga message ect.) Thank you, ~Elizabeth
Hi! I was excited to come across your website! We are in the adoption process and hoping to adopt from Taiwan! I then saw that you were from KS. The agency we are using is from Kansas. They are Shiloh Adoptions...it is a small Christian agency and they are terrific! What orphange are you working at? We are wrapping up our homestudy and are soon ready to begin the Taiwan process if we get the green light from them! Maybe you could pick a precious little one for me It's awesome that you are following God's will at such a young age. It took me a lot longer to figure that out!
Hi, Elizabeth - So excited for you! I wish I could go with you....
I know it's a long trip, and you'll be travelling alone, but I think that airports are about the safest places in the world these days, what with all the extra security.
Here's some critical advice: be sure to pack some Afrin (nasal spray decongestant)in your carryon - it is the absolute best thing to have in case you get a cold before travelling (there or back) - much better than a tablet decongestant. And with all the airplane ups and downs, you'll not want to have a stuffy head!!!! (Happened to me on a China trip before I knew about Afrin, and my ears were really hurting!)
So that's my great travel advice that I tell everyone who's getting on an airplane. (If you need to use it, you spray it in each nostril 1 hour before scheduled landing time.)
Okay, enough on the Afrin.n :-) You are in our prayers, and I just know God has great blessings in store for you. Share some hugs with the babies from Bert and Dorie! ;-)
Hi Elizabeth, I can't believe I just found your website. You mom had e-mailed it to us a while back, but when I clicked on it, it did not connect. We have been thinking a lot about you lately and knew you were supposed to leave soon. (We thought it was later in January, not late December.) Anyway, we're glad to find out exactly when you are leaving so we can pray for you. We'll be sending you all a Christmas card soon, and I'll try to e-mail you all, too. (For some reason, there is still a problem with you all being able to email us directly.) We are so excited for this opportunity for you to go on this mission trip. We'll look forward to hearing all about it. Please know we will be praying for you. Have a merry Christmas!!! We love you. Love, Mrs. Susan
